TERVUREN — Market vendors must use Dutch as the “language of communication” following a decision by Tervuren aldermen. Flemish liberal Mayor Thomas Geyns later clarified that vendors may speak other languages with their multilingual customers.

TERVUREN – Cyclists in Tervuren have launched a petition calling for the reinstatement of bike racks in front of the local Carrefour. The ten-space bicycle parking area on Hoornzeelstraat was abruptly disappeared in late February to make way for a car parking space. Explaining his decision, Flemish liberal mayor Thomas Geyns says convenient car parking is vital for local business.
