Former postman Joseph Proven passes away
Sad news: former postman Joseph Proven has passed away. Affectionately known as ‘Jef de facteur’, he was a distinguished figure for all of Tervuren, impeccably dressed on his bicycle. Always friendly and ready to chat.
Moorsel fights alone to keep buses
Moorsel already fears the worst from January 2025. Flanders public bus company De Lijn could formally announce, on 21 February, De Lijn could formally announce an end to the three bus lines (316, 318, 616) that serve Moorsel . The loss of bus 616 alone terminates the popular service to the airport from Leuven, via Moorsel, which started in 2007.
Missed season for Tervuren’s ski hut
There was no skiing in Tervuren this season. With installation running till April, the official opening of the €5.4 million project, encompassing Tervuren’s €2.5 million ‘Ski Hut’, also risks extending beyond June.
